Join us for a special conversation with Chicago Latina trailblazers! These influential Latina leaders are the first Latinas in their positions or founders of the first organizations of their kind in law, education, healthcare, and community organizing. Through their work, they have addressed issues facing their communities and shaped the history of the Windy City from the 1960s to today.
Our panelists' testimonios are featured in the anthology Chicago Latina Trailblazers: Testimonios of Political Activism (The University of Illinois Press) edited by Rita D. Hernández, Leticia Villarreal Sosa, Elena R. Gutiérrez. Dr. Leticia Villareal Sosa, one of the anthology’s editors, will introduce us to the project and our special guests.
